A curved silver neckpiece that warps around the neck and curves down the chest. The visible curve around the neck has functional, contracted grade 2 braille that reads "It is only with the heart" before it curves out of sight of the photograph. The word 'heart' is done in gold.
A close up some of the braille on this necklace. It reads "essential" in gold braille.
A curved silver neckpiece that wraps around the neck and then curves down the centerline of the chest. There is grade 2 braille on it, reading "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". The words "heart" and "essential" are done in gold.
A close up of the end of this neckpiece. Only the end of the piece is in focus, and you can see the word "eye." in braille. The rest behind it fades out of focus, with only bright silver and gold dots suggesting braille bumps.

One of my favorite quotes from The Little Prince: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." The dots for the words "heart" and "essential" are done in 24 gold keum boo, with the rest of the piece being sterling silver.

This piece is in accurate, grade 2, contracted braille. All of the spacing and dot size is according to EBAE standards to be correct and legible to tactile readers.

Because braille is contracted, this piece may not have the number of cells (letters) you expect. Letter combinations such as "the" and "er" are covered by a single braille cell.
